Seismic Action of Underground Mass Explosions on Surface Structures

On the basis of experimental observations over seismic action of underground mass explosions the interrelation between alluvium amount and ground fluctuations period has been established. It has been revealed that for the near zone of explosion, where the high-frequency fluctuations prevail, criterion of danger is the speed of displacement in the basis of structures, and for the distant zone, where the period of fluctuations functionally depends on alluvium amount and on speed of cross wave distribution in them, criterion of danger is the displacement in constructive elements of the structure. It has been established that decrease of mass explosion seismic action is achieved by selection of mass explosion design, that provides fluctuation spectrum, most safe by energy saturation criterion of a low-frequency range, in which there are resonant phenomena. For these purposes the spectral model of short-delay explosion has been developed. It allows to estimate mass explosion amplitude and frequency characteristics depending on their design.

Substantiation study of effective mine ventilation plans and optimization of regulator parameters by means of genetic algorithm

A specific calculation method has been described to be applied for the analysis of possible mine ventilation alternatives. The application of ventilation parameters interrelationship and genetic algorithm is the basis of the method. Results of practical application of the proposed method in the specific program package (CAD VS) have been discussed.
